The search for Guillermina Munoz, a 62-year-old Hispanic woman, has continued in the city of Compton since her disappearance yesterday. Munoz is reported to be forgetful and solely Spanish-speaking, and her family is understandably concerned for her safety. An appeal for public assistance in the search has been released by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Missing Persons Unit.
Munoz was last seen heading southbound on South Evers Avenue towards 142nd Street in Compton. She was reportedly wearing a black and white checkered coat, black pants, and an "ANGELS" bracelet on her right wrist. Munoz is 5'03" tall, weighs 150 lbs, has curly black hair, and green eyes.
Digitally disseminated information through "Nixle" alerts on the department's website aids in quickly reaching a wider audience. Emphasizing that not only the authorities but, indeed, the general public is a vital component in locating missing individuals.
