On Saturday, a brush fire broke out in Sunland, near the EB 210 Freeway, engulfing an RV and igniting nearby vegetation. LAFD personnel were on scene promptly implementing containment methodologies, as per the report from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).
The fire, that now scorched close to 3/4 acre of medium-fuel, was compounding uphill, thereby presenting considerable complications for the emergency responders striving to halt it. LAFD confirmed that they had established anchor lines to curtail the fire's spread. Sprinting to the aid of ground forces were Helicopters 1, 3, 4, and 7, battling the blaze aerially.
All growth of the brush fire was halted by 12:42 PM and control was restored over the incident, as per the LAFD update. The update further detailed the recall of LA County Fire and Verdugo Fire resources as the situation was competently managed by LAFD personnel.
