On October 31, law enforcement in Windsor, California, detained a 15-year-old, already on Sonoma County Juvenile probation, following a vehicle pursuit. The chase concluded with his arrest, as confirmed by the Windsor Police Department.
Dangerous driving reports of a vehicle near the high school led the Windsor Police to a stolen white Kia Soul. The subsequent pursuit went through Cotati and Santa Rosa, with a deputy using a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) to stop the vehicle.
Despite fleeing on foot after the car was stopped, the young driver was captured by an arresting deputy. During the arrest, the juvenile resisted capture, forcefully pushing and kicking. The officer found a loaded 9mm pistol with the serial number removed in the suspect's backpack.
