In Tustin, a fierce blaze threatened to engulf an entire apartment complex along with millions in local property value. According to the Orange County Fire Authority's Facebook page, smoke and flames were billowing from a second-story unit when firefighters arrived on the scene.
The fire had all the makings of a catastrophic event as it raged within a structure housing a common attic, where flames could swiftly spread their destructive force throughout the building. The call came in at 10:20 and was in the 1300 block of Walnut in the City of Tustin.
No injuries. The cause is under investigation.
