In South Los Angeles, Augustus F. Hawkins High School students have reported encounters with an unknown man near the campus. Within the last week, female students have reported being approached by the individual who asked them to enter his pickup truck. The LAPD, who are actively pursuing a solution, have stepped up patrols around the school, according to CBS Los Angeles.
According to LAPD, the suspect is a 30 to 40-year-old Hispanic man, believed, to be driving a light gray Toyota Tacoma. The 77th Street Community Police Station of the LAPD, in trying to address the issue, is collaborating with the high school, as mentioned in a Facebook post. Furthermore, the LAPD urges vigilance from students, parents, and local residents, particularly in the vicinity of the school.
