On October 26th, 2023, an innocent man suffered an unprovoked assault and stabbing outside a Dallas, Texas 7-Eleven gas station. The suspects, a group of five individuals, reportedly attacked him because they alleged that he had bumped into one of them. The suspects, who fled the scene in two dark vehicles after inflicting significant harm, were described by WFAA as two Black males and three Black females.

The victim was allegedly to be a homeless man, simply making a trip to the shop along John West Road's 1800 block in Far East Dallas. Security footage of the incident exists, but shockingly, the suspects also reportedly recorded the attack in a Facebook Live video. The Dallas Police Department has since seized this video Fox 4 News mentions.

It is startling that a mere incidental touch could quickly evolve into such a violent group assault. Though the suspects remain on the loose, surveillance images have been released that show their faces, hoping to encourage information that might lead to their capture. Det. Brody Baggs has made the plea for any details that can help the investigation, especially if it can help identify the suspects as reported by CBS News.
