
The Victor Valley Sheriff's Department recently apprehended a vehicle theft suspect, 30-year-old Joseph Myers, in Apple Valley. The stolen vehicle was discovered by Sheriff's Aviation on National Trails Highway, according to a news release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department.
On November 3, a Ford F350 was reported stolen from the 20900 block of Willow Springs Avenue. The Aviation Division, referred to as 40K, quickly found the vehicle and monitored it, only to have Myers go off-road and disable the vehicle on a steep goat trail.
With directions from 40K, Deputies J. Lee and T. Bohannon attained the scene and arrested Myers. Following his arrest, Myers was detained at High Desert Detention Center for vehicle theft and outstanding felony warrants, and held on $90,000 bail.
