The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has successfully located Angel Pasillas Salas, an at-risk missing person whose disappearance raised considerable concern among law enforcement and the Palmdale community. In a recent update, officials expressed their gratitude to those who assisted in the search.
Sixty-five-year-old Angel Pasillas Salas was reported missing earlier this week after he was last seen on December 12, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. He disappeared near the 47th Street East and Avenue R intersection, prompting a call for public assistance from the Sheriff’s Department. Described as a male Hispanic adult, Salas has short grey hair, brown eyes, and is legally blind, factors that underscored the urgency of his situation.
His clothing at the time of his disappearance included a blue and white flannel long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and gray shoes, as described in the original press release from the Sheriff's Department. The intensity of the search was significantly heightened due to Mr. Salas' visual impairment, which posed a serious risk to his safety.
While detailed circumstances surrounding his discovery have not been released, the LASD confirmed Salas is no longer missing.
