Three thieves enacted a well-orchestrated plot and made away with a sizeable haul of merchandise, totaling approximately $2,100 in value, according to a post by the HBPD.
The culprits committed the theft in broad daylight, confidently making their escape. However, their plan soon unraveled as police swiftly intercepted the getaway truck, bringing a temporary halt to the celebrations of the trio's driver. "The stolen goods were loaded into a truck, and the driver sped away with the loot," the HBPD stated. The loot in question was recovered and dutifully returned to its rightful owner, with the driver finding himself behind bars in the HBPD jail.
The officers, while combing the area, apprehended these other two for engaging in illegal narcotic activity. "One of those individuals was found to be wanted for three outstanding theft warrants," the police department revealed.
