The Chino Hills Deputies' ongoing proactive patrol scored a victory with the arrest of three individuals on December 14th for an organized retail heist at a Victoria's Secret store. The boost in patrols at the Shoppes at Chino Hills aims to combat retail thefts, which tend to spike during the festive season, authorities said.
The trio, identified as 37-year-old Shamire Hampton, 53-year-old Shamesa Winston, and 46-year-old Tyrie Chatman, all hailing from Redlands, reportedly used a device to remove security tags and then loaded up merchandise inside several purses before making a swift exit from the store. Despite their planned theft, deputies were able to catch and detain all three suspects on site.
Following their arrest, the suspects were booked into the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga for organized retail theft. As the investigation continues, the Chino Hills Police Department is urging anyone with additional information about the incident or any other potential victims to come forward and assist the authorities.
