Dallas is set to welcome a new group of American citizens in a ceremony that underscores the diverse fabric of this nation. In partnership with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the City of Dallas is gearing up for its third naturalization ceremony. Slated for December 14th, a total of 30 residents from Dallas will step into a new chapter as they take the Oath of Allegiance, affirming their citizenship in the United States, per the City of Dallas.
The ceremony, a symbol of hope and new beginnings, is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Dallas City Hall, will feature Jorge Molina, Esq., as the guest speaker. Attorney Molina, hailing from the local law firm PLLC, is set to share insights and congratulate the new batch of citizens. Adding to the patriotic fervor, Michael D’Andre Childs is lined up to deliver a rendition of the National Anthem, a collaboration made through the Office of Arts and Culture Community Artist Program.
Marking this significant life event, the Presentation of Colors will be given by the Dallas Police Department, further rooting the ceremony in a sense of community and shared values. In a bid to integrate the new citizens immediately into the democratic process, the League of Women Voters will provide voter registration services immediately following the formalities, ensuring that the new Americans are ready to exercise their rights and responsibilities.
Sources from the City of Dallas have confirmed that the media is welcome to capture B-roll during the event, providing an opportunity for wider coverage of this poignant moment. The ceremony will take place on the 6th-floor Flag Room at 1500 South Marilla Street, a fitting backdrop for the occasion that stands testament to the immigrant journey and the American dream
