
The streets of South Los Angeles became a grim crime scene last weekend as a man was fatally shot and another injured. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on Sunday in the 8500 block of South Hoover Street in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood. Patrol officers, responding to an emergency call, discovered the body along with a second male victim whose pulse was still clinging to life but had been shot. He was quickly taken to a local hospital where he is now reportedly in stable condition.
Investigators are now appealing to the public, seeking any information that might lead to the capture of the assailant or assailants unknown who remain at large.
