
The Grand Prairie Police Department has snatched the bronze in the National Night Out competition, a first for the Texas law enforcement team, as they squared off against cop squads from across the U.S. The department expressed their excitement over the third-place victory, crediting the local "commUNITY" for their relentless backing and involvement in the crime prevention event, according to Grand Prairie Police.
In what's become a jamboree of block parties, barbecues, and parades, National Night Out aims to entrench police-community camaraderie to make hoods safer. The Grand Prairie Police Department not only participated but soared in the standings, a testament to their tight-knit partnership with the folks they've sworn to protect and serve.
"Thank you to our commUNITY for your support and participation," they exuberantly wrote, "We are ready and excited for National Night Out 2024!!" The National Night Out extravaganza, celebrated annually on the first Tuesday in August, has traditionally been a stage where communities across the nation bolster their bonds with local law enforcement, vowing to collectively strengthen crime and drug prevention initiatives, per Grand Prairie Police.
