A violent chain of events unfolded on the Eastex Freeway leading to one man dead and two women injured after a multi-vehicle crash late yesterday evening.

Authorities rushed to the scene at the 14200 block of Lee Road following preliminary reports of a shooting and subsequent collision. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that a male driver, who had possibly been shot, careened into three vehicles waiting at a red light. The man, whose identity has not been released, was swiftly taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead," according to a post by Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez on X.

The impact of the crash left two women, each from different vehicles, with injuries. They were described as being in fair condition at the time of their transport to a local hospital for treatment.

 

 

The investigation traced the origin of the shooting to Haverstock Hills apartment complex, located at 5619 Aldine Bender, a mere distance from where the horrific crash scene unraveled. As of now, the reasons behind the grave incident remain shrouded in uncertainty, the sheriff's office reported.
