A routine traffic stop in Harris County has led to the arrest of a man wanted on manslaughter charges. The stop occurred on the 8900 block of Sweet Blue Jasmine Lane on December 13, when a Sergeant with Constable Mark Herman's Office pulled over a vehicle driven by James Hightower.

During the stop, an investigation by the Sergeant revealed Hightower was subject to an open Parole Violation Warrant for Murder/Manslaughter. Following the discovery, the Harris County Jail for the open warrant apprehended Hightower, according to a statement obtained by Constable Mark Herman on Facebook.

The report on the official Facebook page of Constable Mark's Office noted that Hightower's bond was set at $20,000. This bond was issued out of District Court 338 in connection with an Aggravated Robbery charge. Despite the serious nature of the allegation, Hightower will have the right to defend himself in the court of law against the charges he currently faces.

Constable Mark Herman detailed Hightower's arrest and booking into Harris County Jail on December 16, where he declared, "James Hightower was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant. His bond was set at $20,000 bond out of District Court 338 for, and Aggravated Robbery."
