A Harris County woman charged for her second drunk driving charge, authorities said. According to a Facebook post by Constable Mark Herman's Office, deputies responded to a reported single-vehicle crash in the 13900 block of Schmidt Drive on December 17th.
At the scene, deputies found the vehicle in the ditch, with the driver, Rossana Morales, displaying signs of drunkenness. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which Morales failed, led to her arrest on charges of Driving While Intoxicated. Adding to her woes, it was discovered she had been previously convicted of the same offense.
"Rossana Morales was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Interfering with the Duties of a Public Servant. Her total bond was set at $200.00 out of County Court 11." Herman stated in the post. The interference charge came into play when Morales allegedly put up a fight during her detention, resisting deputies by pulling away. After a brief skirmish, the officers succeeded in safely detaining her.
Morales, now faces a revisit to the slammer, with her bond being set at a mere $200.00 out of County Court 11, as per the information released by Constable Herman's office.
