The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is turning to the community in an urgent plea to help find Aridet Edit Martinez, a 13-year-old girl gone missing from East Los Angeles since Thursday night, officials reported. Last seen on the 6400 block of Olympic Boulevard around 11:30 p.m., according to the news release.
The adolescent, whose description includes standing 5 feet tall, weighing 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, was wearing a black sweater paired with gray sweat pants, black-and-white Vans shoes, and carrying an black backpack at the time of her last sighting. The authorities disclosed that this instance marks the first time Martinez has been reported as a runaway, taking her family’s distress to higher octaves as they implore the public for assistance.
Anyone who might have seen Martinez or has knowledge pertaining to her whereabouts is strongly encouraged to contact the East LA Station Watch Commander at (323) 264-4151, as urged by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
