A man was shot to death late Tuesday in Compton, and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department homicide detectives are on the hunt for his killer. The male victim, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was found with a gunshot wound to his upper torso on the 600 block of West Corregidor Street, as reported by the Sheriff's Information Bureau.
Deputies were called to the scene about 11:09 p.m., where they found the gravely wounded man. The Compton Fire Department personnel eventually transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
