
Houston police are currently investigating a shooting that left a man dead in the early hours of the morning at a business on 8600 Mesa Drive. The incident occurred around 4:25 a.m. on December 6, according to official reports.
Responding to a call about a robbery, HPD patrol officers discovered a man, believed to be in his 30s, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds after they arrived at the scene. Pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department personnel, the victim's identity remains unknown, pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Detectives M. Condon and J. Brown of the HPD Homicide Division is leading the investigation. As of now, details are scant, and the authorities have not released any suspect descriptions. The investigation is ongoing.
Police are calling on the public for assistance, having any leads that could shed light on the shooter's identity. "Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or speak anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS," the department announced.
