Los Angeles County bigwig Janice Hahn is putting out the call to small-time landlords to scoop up some freshly minted grant dough through the LA County Rent Relief cash infusion that kicked off today. In a statement obtained by the county's newsroom, Hahn played up the tough spot these local rental moguls have been stewing in, thanks to hefty pandemic policies, "The costs of the pandemic policies that kept people housed fell on the shoulders of local mom-and-pop landlords," Hahn said, "This landlord relief fund is long overdue, and I urge local property owners who need the help to apply and to call my office if they need any assistance."

The relief pot, put together by the Los Angeles County Department of Consumer and Business Affairs on the Supervisors' say-so, is packing a $68.6 million punch. The small guys can grab up to a cool $120,000 in assistance for back rent and legit expenses from April 1, 2022, onwards.

Landlords who need help filling out an online application can hit up a call center at (877) 849-0770.
