A fire that engulfed a Reseda home yesterday was extinguished by quick-acting firefighters, according to Los Angeles Fire Department officials. The blaze, reported at 19438 Lorne Street, was subdued within 25 minutes thanks to the efforts of 32 firefighters who arrived on scene. The LAFD team fought to confine and eliminate the flames that had overtaken the patio and rear portion of the one-story, 1,936-square-foot house built in 1954. The LAFD reported there were no injuries as a result of the incident.

No residents were harmed during the fast-moving fire, with the response team managing to keep the flames from spreading to neighboring properties. Built more than six decades ago, the house's vintage may have played a role in how the fire unfolded, though officials are still determining the exact cause.

The incident was logged as INC#1030 and drew resources from multiple fire stations, including Battalion 17 and the Valley Bureau. Among the units responding were Engine 103, Engine 104, and Tactical Units 73 and 96. Alongside these teams, Battalion Chiefs 15 and 17 coordinated the firefighting efforts. Medical aid was on standby, with RA104 and RA73 ready to provide support, though fortunately, their services were not called upon for injuries. The fire's cause is currently under investigation by the authorities.

The incident, occurring outside city council jurisdiction, required cooperation between various LAFD units to successfully tackle the emergency. With the fire now extinguished, the neighborhood's safety has been restored, and residents were allowed back to their homes once the area was deemed safe.
