
A deadly fire engulfed a home in Fort Bend County, Texas, on Sunday, claiming one life. According to the local news report, the blaze broke out at a residence on the 6500 block of Cody Mountain Trail.
Detailed information about the incident is scant, however, and responding officials have not disclosed whether the victim was male or female. The house has been thoroughly investigated by the Fort Bend County Fire Marshal’s Office.
There were no other reported injuries—at least not to firefighters or pets, as stated by the Fire Marshal's Office. The office assured the community that additional details would be provided in due time.
The Fort Bend County Arson Investigators and the Community Volunteer Fire Department address the fatal incident, with the scene described as active and ongoing. According to a post on the official Fort Bend County Fire Marshal's Office Facebook page, the public was advised to avoid the area while investigations were being carried out.
