The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety detained a man on December 1 in connection with a string of card fraud offenses across California. According to the City of Rohnert Park Police & Fire, around 6:40 a.m., they responded to a tip-off about a dodgy character wielding fraudulent debit cards at a local bank on the 200 block of Rohnert Park Expressway.
Upon arriving, officers spotted the suspect's car leaving the scene, pulling it over at a traffic enforcement stop. In possession of 43 counterfeit debit cards and over $3,000, Antonio Kronidis was identified in over a dozen prior incidents involving fraudulent transactions. He is now facing charges, including fraudulent use of an access card and identity theft.
Following the traffic stop, multiple law enforcement agencies from across the Golden State reached out regarding Kronidis, now racking up additional charges. These include three felony counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and two felony counts of access card forgery, among others. Kronidis has been booked on a $250,000 bond.
In the wake of his arrest, the investigating team received several calls from the community, aiding the case's progression. Details about Kronidis's schemes have been scarce aside from what is coming to light thanks to these community tips, painting a clearer picture of his fraudulent activities. The investigation remains active, with Detective Ramirez encouraging anyone with information to reach out and refer to Case #23-4247.
