
Yuletide blackouts hit San Rafael last night when a large tree gave way, toppling onto power lines and plunging homes into darkness. Around 8:30 PM yesterday, the incident forced a road closure on Vineyard Drive, stretching from Coleman Drive to Prospect Drive. According to the San Rafael Police Department, the San Rafael Fire Department swiftly arrived on the scene, confirming that there was no immediate fire danger.
