
A teenage boy has lost his life in a shooting incident, sparking a homicide investigation by the Pomona Police Department. The 16-year-old Pomona resident suffered gunshot wounds on the night of December 26, according to a department press release.
The shooting occurred around 9:22 p.m. on the 1300 block of W. Mission Blvd, a statement on Nixle reported. After receiving a call about the injured male, paramedics rushed him to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Pomona Police's Major Crimes Unit has taken on the case, delving into an investigation to uncover the motive behind the fatal event, which remains unclear. So far, the suspects behind this heinous act remain at large and unidentified.
Authorities are urging anyone with insights into the shooting to come forward.
