On a Texas highway this weekend, a 17-year-old was grazed by a bullet amid a suspected road rage altercation, law enforcement officials report. The incident erupted on Saturday night around 9:30 p.m. along Highway 59 near the Grand Parkway in New Caney, leading to calls to the Montgomery County Dispatch Center, deputies told Click2Houston.
Responders discovered two vehicles that had careened off the road into a stand of trees at the intersection. The chaos of the situation was palpable, with wreckage strewn and the urgency of law enforcement palpable. The teenage victim, wounded in the frenzy, was promptly whisked away to the hospital, receiving treatment for injuries that were not life-threatening, as confirmed by the Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable's Office, based on information obtained by KBTX.
The officers on the scene secured the perimeter. "Initial reports reveal that this appears to have started as a road rage incident," said a release from the office of Constable Kenneth Hayden.
