Texans Offer $3,000 Reward for Return of Beloved Dogs Lost in Houston Hit-and-Run and Cypress BurglarySource: Google Street View

In a distressing holiday drama, two Texas residents are now facing a heart-wrenching search for their beloved dogs, offering a hefty $3,000 reward for their safe return after separate misfortunes struck just days before Christmas. One of the dogs, a copper-colored poodle named Halle Berry, bolted into the night following a hit-and-run accident in Houston, while a tiny Yorkie named Serenity was allegedly snatched from a Cypress apartment during a brazen burglary.

The poodle’s owner, Taylor Polidore, had nearly completed a long drive from Atlanta to Houston with her fiancé Jeroson Williams when a vehicle rammed their Ford Bronco on December 21. Polidore told KHOU, "Out of nowhere, a car hits us full speed." Following the collision, the dog was spooked and managed to slip out of her collar and leash. Halle Berry was last seen darting into a nearby wooded area but has since evaded capture.

In Cypress, Tammy Costello returned from her morning job on December 22nd to discover her apartment plundered and her Yorkie, Serenity, missing. According to a report by ABC13, Costello expressed the toll the incident has taken on her, stating, "It's just a horrible feeling when someone breaks into your home, you feel violated. You feel scared." She suspects the thieves may attempt to sell Serenity, who she believes could fetch between $1,000 and $1,500.

Both dog owners have reached out to the public, posting flyers and taking to social media, hopeful that their offers will motivate someone to come forward with information. "I'm still devastated and I'm shattered," Polidore recounted to KHOU about the missing Halle Berry.

Costello vows to persist in her search, saying to ABC13, "I just love her to death. She needs to be with me." With Christmas looming, the owners clasp onto hope that their beloved pets will be found and returned safely to festively conclude what has doubtlessly been an ordeal for both families.
