Texas Walmart Shoplifting Incident Escalates, Suspect Nigelle Rowser ChargedSource: Facebook/Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4

Chaos unfolded in a Texas Walmart when a routine response to a shoplifting incident turned into an arrest involving a woman who gave fake names and resisted law enforcement, authorities said. The incident, which occurred at the Walmart on Kuykendahl Road, began when constable deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office arrived at the scene on December 17. A woman was reported to have concealed merchandise worth more than $30 and attempted to leave the store without paying.

Upon confronting the suspect, these deputies were met with verbal resistance as the woman became combative and did not comply with commands, according to a statement from the constable's office. The initial altercation escalated when she resisted physical detention, which led to a brief struggle. Despite her efforts to avoid identification, deputies eventually ascertained that the suspect was one Nigelle Rowser, after earlier providing multiple false names, and dates of birth.

"Nigelle Rowser was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Interfering with the Duties of a Public Servant and Failure to Identify," Constable Mark Herman stated, detailing the aftermath of the confrontation at the retail giant. According to the constable's Facebook post, Rowser's bond was subsequently set at a total of $200.00 out of County Court 15.
