
Upland police officers apprehended a graffiti artist mid-tag Wednesday evening, ending a brief chase on foot with the suspect's arrest. The incident occurred near the intersection of West Foothill Boulevard and North San Antonio Avenue, details of which emerged via a post from the Upland Police Department.
Tonight, an officer caught a subject tagging near Foothill & San Antonio. The suspect fled, but was caught after a foot pursuit. Authorities spotted the suspect actively defacing property, but when they attempted to approach him, he took off running, leading to the pursuit that ultimately culminated in his capture, KTLA reports. Officials said, "It was learned the suspect spray-painted on several walls & fences," a revelation that exposed the extent of the vandalism.
In the wake of the arrest, the police shared images showcasing both the suspect and the damage he caused.
