In the quiet neighborhood of Victorville, a series of home invasions have shaken residents after a man allegedly broke into multiple houses early Wednesday morning. Authorities responded to the disturbance on Kitfox Lane where they discovered the suspect, 22-year-old Armel Rene Jackson, causing chaos in the dead of night.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, deputies arrived on the scene to find a scenario straight out of a homeowner's nightmare—Jackson reportedly had been screaming and breaking items within the homes, instigating fears of burglary among residents. Witnesses quickly fled their dwellings and alerted authorities of the trespasser, who was determined to desperately evade capture.
While attempting to elude law enforcement, Jackson forcibly entered and vandalized three separate residences, damaging doors and windows in his wake. Found within a home, Jackson refused to comply with deputies' commands, leading to a scuffle before officers managed to subdue and arrest him.
