This cash influx, aimed at addressing southern Dallas' dangerous roads, spotlights the City's commitment to reducing its troublesome crash rates and boosting pedestrian safety, as laid out in its Vision Zero Plan, according to the City of Dallas.
Joined by Assistant City Manager Majed Al-Ghafry and Council Members Omar Narvaez and Adam Bazaldua of Districts 6 and 7, respectively, Crockett will lead Friday's festivities. Waving the banner high for safety, these officials are part of a broader coalition that includes the North Central Texas Council of Governments, St. Phillips School and Community Center, Dallas Area Rapid Transit, the Federal Highway Administration, and The Real Estate Council, all working to pump the brakes on traffic-related fatalities.
