Authorities are calling on the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the identification of a man accused of abusing a credit card in a string of unauthorized transactions. According to a Facebook post by Constable Mark Herman's Office, the suspect reportedly went on a spending spree with a stolen credit card along the 4100 block of FM1960 Road West, racking up over $945 in illicit purchases.
The theft came to light when a deputy responded to a report of credit card abuse on December 29, 2023. Caught on camera during his fraudulent shopping at a local Home Depot, the man sought by law enforcement is described as a Hispanic male, clad in a blue and gray sweatshirt and black pants. Running up a tab with another person's money, the suspect was oblivious to the video surveillance capturing his every move.
As the investigation continues, the precinct has made a video of the suspect available in the hope that someone might recognize him. "If you have any information regarding the identity of this suspect, you are urged to contact our dispatch or your local law enforcement," Constable Mark Herman implores in the social media appeal.
Anyone with information is encouraged to step forward to help close the case on this alleged credit card bandit.
