The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is turning to the community for assistance in the search for a missing teen named Aleena Nicole Garcia, a 15-year-old Hispanic girl, who was last spotted on December 26, 2023, at the Stonewood Shopping Mall in Downey. The department’s appeal comes as the concerned family members hope for new information that could lead to her safe return.
Garcia, described as 5’4” tall and 105 lbs with brown shoulder-length hair and brown eyes, is distinguishable by a tattoo of a crown over her right eyebrow and the name "junior" inked on her left hand. She also has dental braces. According to an alert posted by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, she was last seen in a black jacket, tan pants, and black "Nike" shoes. A detail that implies she may have left in a hurry or under distress.
The Sheriff's Department shared that Garcia seemed visibly upset after a phone call right before she vanished from view. This detail has added to her family's anxiety about her current state, fearing for her well-being. “Her family is concerned with her well-being and is asking for the public’s help,” the Sheriff’s Information Bureau stated, stressing the urgency of her safe recovery.
