Dallas residents are bracing for a mixed bag of weather in the coming days, starting with today's cloudy skies and a high of 53 degrees. The weekend is expected to bring clearer conditions, with Sunday's forecast indicating sunny skies and a high near 60, but not before a calm and chilly night with lows dropping to around 36 degrees, as reported by the National Weather Service.
However, the unassuming peace of this weekend's weather is set to rapidly change. Starting Monday, Dallas faces a certainty of showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 3 pm, followed by continued showers, and sharp winds that are expected to fiercely gust as high as 35 mph. Monday evening won't offer much reprieve from the winds, which are forecast to increase to 25 to 30 mph after midnight, with gusts potentially hitting 40 mph.
Heading into Tuesday, the city will see sunny conditions return, but with windy weather persisting. Those venturing outdoors can expect blustery conditions with West-Northwest winds blasting 25 to 30 mph and gusts reaching up to 40 mph, ensuring the day remains brisk with highs near 49 degrees.
As the week progresses, the winds are forecast to only slightly ease up. Wednesday brings another sunny day, with highs expected to hit the 60s, but South winds will continue to make their presence known, blowing 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Nighttime temperatures will hover around the low 40s, promising a mostly clear evening.
The latter half of the week maintains this sunny, albeit windy, pattern. Thursday's outlook points to a high near 62, while at night there's a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The week wraps up with Friday looking mostly sunny and highs dropping back down near 50. Residents and visitors alike should prepare for the disparate elements by layering up and keeping an eye on the fluctuating forecasts.
