As Saturday ushers in higher temperatures near 55, conditions remain sunny before a sharp plunge in the mercury Saturday night to a low of around 17 degrees. Sunday's forecast turns grim with mostly cloudy skies and a high barely climbing to 28, coupled with a north-northeast wind that packs a cold punch.
The forecast for Martin Luther King Day is bleak, with a chance of snow showers and sleet before noon and a high peaking at a cold 24 degrees. Monday night is expected to deliver a frigid low around 10 degrees, while Tuesday will be sunny, yet still bitterly cold with a high near 26. The remainder of the week looks to bring a reprieve from the biting cold, with a gradual warming trend leading to a sunny Thursday and a high near 51.
