In a display of swift law enforcement, the Fairfield Police Department snagged a would-be burglar in the act last Friday. According to the department's Facebook post, Sanjit Hearn, 44, was arrested after a resident on Illinois Street alerted the authorities of an attempted break-in at her home.
Just before 1 pm, the homeowner's call came in, sending police to the scene. Officers arrived within a mere three minutes to find Hearn, who was spotted leaving the vicinity with a telltale sign of his alleged crime – blood on his hands, presumably from his failed attempt to break a window.
Detailed by a Facebook post by the Fairfield Police Department, Hearn was apprehended as he walked away from the scene, confirming the fast and effective response of the local law enforcement.
Once taken into custody, Hearn was transported to Solano County Jail, where he will face charges for his attempt to enter the home unlawfully.
