
Chaos broke out in the early hours at a Fairfield shop when a clerk was faced with a knife-wielding man inside the store. The Fairfield Police Department reported that they were alerted to the incident at around 3:15 am on January 20, as the clerk made a desperate call for help. Responding to the distressing situation, officers arrived within minutes at the scene in the 200 block of East Tabor Avenue.
Upon arrival, as indicated on the Fairfield, CA Police Department's Facebook page, law enforcement promptly received intel from the store clerk pointing out 34-year-old Anthony Westbrook as the suspect. Westbrook, when questioned, had in his possession a knife and several stolen items and was subsequently taken into custody.
The episode concluded with Westbrook's arrest, charged and incarcerated at Solano County Jail. Details regarding the items stolen or the knife's intended use were not immediately disclosed.
