Around 8,000 households in Fort Worth will receive the Fort Worth Community Survey soon. This survey is a regular event that happens every two years, with the most recent round occurring in 2021. The city, in collaboration with the ETC Institute of Olathe, Kansas, uses this survey to gauge resident satisfaction with their services. The ETC Institute has worked with the city before, providing insights on Fort Worth's standing compared to other cities in Texas and the nation, as reported by the City of Fort Worth.
The six-page survey includes questions about ongoing issues, current projects, and traditional topics. Respondents can complete it through mail or online using a unique code. The ETC Institute plans to follow up ten days after mailing the survey, reaching out via email or phone to encourage participation. Those who haven't responded yet can still do so online or over the phone, with accommodations for both English and Spanish speakers.
The survey holds substantial weight for the city as it influences budget decisions. The city trusts the survey results, and the ETC Institute ensures a balanced sample by considering demographics like age and ethnicity while ensuring fair representation from all council districts. Fort Worth's city council eagerly awaits this data to revamp the fiscal master plan.
