Chaos erupted at a Houston-area party early Sunday when gunshots rang out, leaving four teenagers injured in what authorities described as a random act of violence. The gunfire occurred around 12:30 a.m. at an 18-wheeler compound on the 4400 block of Mooney where some 75 people were gathered. A witness recalled the scene to deputies, "You could just hear bullets flying everywhere," adding, "It just broke havoc. It was packed," as reported by ABC13.

Among the injured was a 17-year-old found with a gunshot wound to the leg and another teen of the same age shot in the back; both are expected to recover. Meanwhile, two additional victims - an 18-year-old in fair condition and a 19-year-old taken to the hospital in critical condition - also suffered gunshot wounds in the incident. Deputies have yet to publicly name a suspect and are urging anyone with information to quickly come forward to help to track down whoever is responsible.

As the investigation unfolds, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office continues to seek leads. A 19-year-old remains in critical condition following the shooting, which scattered partygoers and sent them scrambling over fences to evade the bullets. "The other teenagers are in fair condition and expected to be OK," as reported by Click2Houston.

Authorities have not released the names of the victims as the search for the shooter continues. Those with knowledge of the shooting are encouraged to immediately contact the Harris County Sheriff's Office at 713-221-6000.
