A late-night party turned into a scene of violence when four teenagers were shot at approximately 12:30 am in the 4400 block of Mooney. According to a post from the Harris County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a distress call to discover a 17-year-old with a gunshot wound to the leg and another teen suffering a gunshot wound to the back among the chaos of a large gathering of 50-75 juveniles. Two additional teenagers found their way to area hospitals with gunshot injuries, totaling four victims: two 17-year-olds, an 18-year-old, and a critically wounded 19-year-old. The Sheriff's Office has yet to identify a suspect and the investigation is ongoing.

The modern era of social media invites have definitively brought an end to the times of exclusive, word-of-mouth parties. One such incident now quickly transformed into an episode of terror, as an unidentified attacker began to randomly fire into the crowd. The three teenagers in fair condition are expected to recover from their injuries, while the 19-year-old remains in critical condition.
