The Heights area of Houston has just been served a hot slice of expansion with Grace Pizza and Shakes setting up shop at 801 Studewood. Following successful operations in Pearland, Alvin, and Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, the family-owned chain has decided to bring its coal-fired pizzas and decadent milkshakes to the inner city. The newest establishment opened its doors, offering a slice of the suburbs with a menu that includes pizzas, pastas, and hot sandwiches alongside their signature "over-the-top" shakes.

Owners Adrian and Gina Hembree have hitched their culinary wagon to the novelty of locally sourced ingredients. And for those with gluten intolerance, the unique 'Ashlyn's Art' promises a cauliflower crust topped with a medley of pizza sauce, feta cheese, spinach, red onion, roasted garlic, roasted peppers and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Meanwhile, the shake list is not to be outdone. Seven varieties beckon the sweet tooth in every customer, ranging from 'cinnamon heaven' to 'brownie bliss' – the latter is adorned with a sparkler for that Instagram-worthy moment, according to Houston Chronicle.

The Pearland segment of their expansion was highlighted during their third location opening at 9415 Broadway St., Suite 111, last July. The premise of the Grace Pizza & Shakes brand is to create a space "where you build your own pizza, then finish it off with an over-the-top milkshake," founder Adrian Hembree voiced to Community Impact. That location took over a space formerly occupied by Grace Market Sandwiches offering an inviting indoor seating area and an outdoor patio for more al fresco dining experiences.

Grace is undertaking a staffing drive for its new Heights location. Interested pizza aficionados and shake connoisseurs seeking employment can throw their hats into the ring for various positions. The store has been operating with temporary hours but promises to switch to normal business hours come Saturday, boasting a weekly availability from Monday through Sunday according to the Houston Chronicle report.
