Swift action by local constables led to the arrest of two suspects following a theft at a business in Harris County. On January 28, deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office were dispatched to a reported theft in progress in the 4300 block of FM 2920. The suspects were accused of swiping over $400 in vape pens and attempting to flee the scene.
Deputies responded promptly, establishing a perimeter and chasing the suspects on foot. The quick response resulted in the capture of Geonni Hickman and Baylor Lavance, the two individuals allegedly responsible for the heist. According to a Facebook post by the Constable's office, deputies managed to nab the men shortly after the incident.
Following their arrest, Hickman and Lavance were charged with Theft and Evading Arrest. "Geonni Hickman and Baylor Lavance were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Theft and Evading Arrest. Their total bond was set at $200.00 each out of County Court 9," Constable Mark Herman stated in the social media update.
The suspects now await further proceedings related to the allegations against them. This incident is a testament to a the law enforcement's commitment to responding swiftly to criminal activities and ensuring that perpetrators are brought to justice.
