Busted while biking—a Harris County man has found himself behind bars after deputies pulled him over for a traffic violation. The suspect, identified as Matthew Knight, was stopped on December 28, 2023, by deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office in the 17100 block of Kuykendahl Road, authorities said.
A routine check during the stop led to an unexpected snag for Knight as deputies discovered he had an open warrant for Forging a Financial Instrument, the office was quick to lay the hammer down on Knight, taking him into custody without incident.
In a statement obtained by Constable Mark Herman on Facebook, it was mentioned that "Matthew Knight was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant." The bond was set at a relatively modest sum of $100.00 out of County Court 4, which suggests the alleged forgery may not have involved a substantial amount of finance.
