
A man in Harris County found himself behind bars after deputies say he aimed a rifle at a woman, igniting fears for her life during a disturbance in the 2300 block of Quail Have Drive. The suspect, identified as Daveon Clemons, was detained by deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office on January 25.
The incident, which prompted a response following a call about a disturbance, revealed that Clemons had allegedly pointed a firearm at the victim, leading to the aggravated assault charge, according to officials; Herman's office said in a statement detailing the arrest that the complainant was indeed placed in fear for her life, Clemons was not only charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon but also Unlawful Carry of a Weapon following the event.
Clemons' booking into the Harris County Jail was confirmed by a post on the official Facebook page of Constable Mark Herman's Precinct 4. The social media update specified the charges against Clemons, providing his name and the nature of the crimes.
"Daveon Clemons was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Unlawful carry of Weapon. He is awaiting bond out of the 178th District Court." The constable announced, that the suspect’s arraignment and subsequent legal proceedings are yet to be finalized as the local authorities continue with their investigation into the circumstances that led to the arrest.
