In a routine traffic stop turned drug bust, a man found himself behind bars after officers discovered him with a stash of crystal methamphetamine. According to a post on Facebook by Constable Mark Herman's Office, on January 9, Brandon Pickel's vehicle was halted by a sergeant from the office, sparking a search that quickly escalated into an arrest.
The stop, which began as an ordinary check, soon led to a discovery that put Pickel in a predicament. The sergeant's probe revealed possession of the controlled substance, leading to swiftly take action and stop Pickel from potentially distributing the narcotics. "Brandon Pickel was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Possession of Controlled Substance," said Constable Mark Herman, signaling the gravity of the offense.
Following the arrest, Pickel was processed and entered into the system where his bond was set. Facing a Possession of Controlled Substance charge, he saw his bond determined at $1,000.00 by the 178th District Court.
