A man was nabbed by law enforcement for allegedly carrying bogus car tags following a traffic stop in northwest Harris County, officials said. Deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office pulled over Jose Sanchez-Bohorquez on December 29, 2023, in the 11500 block of Huffmeister Road during a routine traffic enforcement action.
According to a statement from a Facebook post from Constable Herman's Office, the stop led to the discovery that Sanchez-Bohorquez was allegedly in possession of multiple fake temporary buyer tags. During the probe, deputies determined the documents were fictitious, prompting them to immediately process an arrest.
Sanchez-Bohorquez now faces charges for tampering with a government record, which could potentially carry serious penalties. "Jose Sanchez-Bohorquez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with tampering with government records. His bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 16," Constable Mark Herman stated on their Facebook post.
