A routine traffic stop on Will Clayton Parkway led Harris County deputies to more than just a minor infraction when they pulled over a man who has now been identified as Jeremy Cole. According to Constable Mark Herman's Office, Cole initially gave a false name during the stop on January 3, but a deeper inquiry exposed his true identity along with a felony skeleton in his closet.
The investigation by the deputies unfolded a tale of crime as Cole was found to have an outstanding Felony Warrant for Felon in Possession of a Firearm from Brazoria County, and it did not end there; the car he was driving had been reported stolen to the Houston Police Department. Cole's attempt at anonymity failed only to reveal the magnitude of his alleged criminal dealings.
Confirming the details of the arrest, Constable Mark Herman declared, "Jeremy Cole was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrants and charged with Failure to Identify Fugitive and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle."
