A Head Start program employee tragically lost her life after being discovered unresponsive in her vehicle outside of Dort Elementary School in Roseville, Michigan. According to CBS Detroit, the staff found the woman yesterday and tried to render aid before she was rushed to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Superintendent Mark Blaszkowski of Roseville Community Schools confirmed to CBS Detroit that the employee arrived early, and, was in her vehicle for some time which caused staff to check on her well-being. Despite not being directly affiliated with Roseville Community Schools, the Head Start workers are regarded "part of our family," Blaszkowski stated, extending-- "our deepest condolences to her family."
The district has responded to the emotional toll of the incident by making support staff available for both students and staff at Dort Elementary. The tragedy occurred on a bitter cold Tuesday, though it's not currently known if the weather conditions played a part in this incident, as per BNN Breaking. The circumstances surrounding the employee's death have yet to be disclosed by officials.
The Head Start program, which is operated by Macomb County and provides comprehensive education, health, and nutrition services to children from low-income families, considers the support from the school district a collaborative effort to ensure a conducive learning environment.
