A tragic vehicular mishap resulted in the death of a motorcyclist early Sunday morning on the Southwest Freeway in Houston, authorities report. According to the City of Houston News, the accident took place around 12:10 a.m. near the 2300 block of Houston's bustling traffic artery.
The victim, identified as 32-year-old Clayton Craig, was riding a blue Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he attempted a swift lane change. In the course of the maneuver, Craig's motorcycle collided with a red GMC Envoy and subsequently crashed into an exit ramp barrier. He was ejected from his motorbike and landed on the freeway exit ramp, where he was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
Investigators, including HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer D. The drivers of both the GMC and the Camry were present when authorities arrived, cooperated with the inquiries, and were eventually released, as neither appeared to be under the influence at the time of the accident.
