
A woman's life came to a tragic halt this morning after a sole-vehicle crash claimed her life in Houston. The Houston Police Department, as reported by City of Houston News, is now probing into the accident that occurred on the 20000 block of Katy Freeway's service road at around 6:55 a.m.
The 33-year-old female, whose name is being withheld until formal identification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, was behind the wheel of a black Nissan Murano. Authorities state she veered off her designated lane, drove over a curb on the west side of Fry Road, under the freeway, and slammed head-on into a concrete pillar. The circumstances leading up to her failure to maintain a single lane remain unclear, however. as the Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
Sergeant L. Ross and Officer R. Bymaster from HPD Vehicular Crimes Division are handling the investigative reins of the calamity. In their preliminary report, they detailed how the victim's vehicle made its fatal trajectory.
